Spend a day at Discovery Place and we’ll introduce you to a world of wonder, where science amazes, educates and entertains. There’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy, from little ones just starting to explore to adults who have seen the world. No matter your age, we’re dedicated to connecting you with science and connecting science to the world. Start by spending some time in Cool Stuff, a unique and eccentric world of physical phenomena. Launch objects into the air, lie on a bed of nails, crush a garbage can or use a laser to listen to secret messages. Travel from the treetops of the rainforest to the ocean’s floor in World Alive. Dive into the aquarium and go nose-to-tail with sea horses as sharks swim by impossibly beautiful coral reefs. Visit one of the three Explore More labs to conduct real-world science experiments. Then, bring the youngest visitors to KidScience to touch, test and try science with water tables, wind tunnels, blocks and more. Take in a short 3D film, enjoy a dynamic demonstration, explore all the new hands-on exhibits. Finish your day by putting yourself in the movies at The Charlotte Observer IMAX Dome Theatre.
