The past couple of years have been hard on KRC since hydraulic steering is quickly becoming a thing of the past for passenger cars. Electronic steering is the future for OEM steering. All of the OEM steering plants like their partners ZUA have sold and/or simply closed their doors. This makes OEM parts impossible to get and has forced KRC to engineer and design their own pumps from the ground up for the racing industry. In December 2011, they released their new Pro Series aluminum pump for the high performance racing market. In 2012, that line has made great strides to replace GM and ZUA pumps that were converted in the past and they are the only new pumps completely made in the USA, just south of Charlotte in Kennesaw, Georgia.
