MOORESVILLE, NC (August 31, 2012) — Today the Charlotte Racers Expo released its event dates for this coming winter. The 2nd annual event will take place January 25-26, 2013, at the Metrolina Tradeshow Expo. The event will have a schedule similar to last year.
“We got overwhelming positive feedback after last year’s inaugural event,” said Larry McDaniels, promoter of the Charlotte Racers Expo. “But, like any business, we are always looking for ways to improve and we have made some tweaks to help improve the experience for everyone involved — attendees, exhibitors, auction buyers & sellers, even the staff of the facility. If you thought last year was pretty cool, this year will be even better.”
The Charlotte Racers Expo features a full assortment of racing products and services from across the racing industry. From previously-owned and overstocked components available through the auction, to the show specials available for purchase in the exhibit hall, there will be something for everyone at the 2nd annual event.
“I think we had one of the most diverse audiences during last year’s show, and I haven’t talked to anyone who was disappointed,” McDaniels said. “We had dirt track racers, pavement racers, drag racers and even some road racers. They came from as far away as southern Florida and the Midwest and represented beginner, entry-level competitors all the way to professionals. We even had drivers from the top levels of NASCAR in attendance to help improve their short track programs.”
Like last year, the Expo will open on Friday afternoon for both the auction and the exhibition halls. Saturday is scheduled to be an all-day affair, with events happening from as early as 8am until the show closes after dark.
The Charlotte Racers Expo is taking the lead in event-based social media for 2013’s event. Utilizing not only Facebook, but the popular platforms of Twitter and YouTube, the Expo will be utilizing them for communication before, during and after the event.
“Social media has capitalized on the natural human desire to express one’s self and also be heard,” McDaniels said. “It’s the new word-of-mouth advertising and it allows our patrons to share the great experiences they have at our event. It also is a very immediate way to transmit information to followers. We have plans to utilize it in a variety of ways, including keeping buyers aware of auction lot status and making attendees aware of exhibitor sales and specials.”
